One person has died in a house fire on Creswick Terrace in Northland, Wellington on Tuesday morning.
A police spokesperson said officers were called to help Fire and Emergency at the scene at around 7:40am.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) told Newshub in a statement they were called to the house fire at 7:19am.
"Three fire trucks attended. Specialist fire investigators are currently at the scene," the spokesperson said.
The police spokesperson said: "Police and Fire and Emergency will make enquiries into the circumstances of the fire."
The person's death will be referred to the coroner.
