A Levin dairy was the target of an early morning ram raid on Sunday with a stolen car being used to smash into the store.
Police told Newshub an allegedly stolen car was used to smash into the dairy on Oxford Street in Levin at 1:30am.
The car was spiked a short time later but continued on, smashing through several fences in the showgrounds before it was abandoned.
Police said the occupations fled the scene and enquiries are ongoing to locate the offenders.
