A man has been seriously injured after an unprovoked attack in the Dunedin Botanic Garden.
The man was attacked on Monday afternoon by a stranger, a police spokesperson said.
He suffered a significant cut to his forehead and was taken to Dunedin Hospital.
Police were searching for the offender, who took off on a mountain bike after the attack.
