Police have arrested a man in relation to the death of Colin Blithe who died in Napier on Sunday.
On Wednesday, a police spokesperson said in a statement the 33-year-old is charged with murder and will appear in the Napier District Court on February 3.
"Police are not seeking anyone else in connection with the investigation and believe that those involved were known to each other," the spokesperson said.
Police also added they will continue to support those impacted by the 68-year-old's death.
As the matter is before the Court, police will not be commenting any further on the investigation.
