A person has died following a crash on Pukekohe East Road in Counties Manukau on Saturday.
Police said in a statement on Saturday they attended a crash between a truck and a car at around 12:35pm, on Pukekohe East Road, near the intersection of Morgan Road.
"The driver of the car died at the scene," a police spokesperson confirmed.
In an earlier statement, police said both lanes of the road were blocked and motorists were asked to follow emergency services staff directions.
"Pukekohe East Road remains closed and diversions are in place."
