A person has been taken into custody after allegedly fleeing police and crashing into a fence in Hamilton on Monday.
The driver refused to stop for police on Forest Lake Road after a potential gun sighting just after 11am.
The driver then rammed a police car before fleeing. Police followed and the car crashed into a fence on Brooklyn Road causing a minor fire.
No one was injured but Brooklyn Road is currently blocked and people are advised to avoid the area.
