Police are searching for three men after an armed robbery at a house on Auckland's North Shore.
Officers were alerted early on Saturday morning that people living at the Onewa Road property in Northcote had been threatened and several items had been stolen.
An abandoned vehicle was found about 17 kilometres away near Ken Maunder Park in Avondale but tracker dogs were unable to find anyone.
A scene examination has taken place.
