Two people are in a critical condition after a three-vehicle crash in Oamaru.
Emergency services were called to the scene on State Highway 1, also known as Hilderthorpe-Pukeuri Road, just after midday.
Two people were airlifted to Dunedin Hospital.
Another was in a serious condition, and four were being treated for moderate injuries.
The road was closed between Seven Mile Rd by Oamaru Airport and Georgetown-Pukeuri Rd.
