A variety of creative Trade Me listings are raising money for Auckland's flooding relief.

Well-known English singer-songwriter Ed Sheran has joined in on the support, fundraising for the Auckland City Mission - Te Tapui Atawhai.

One hundred percent of funds raised through the 'Ed Block' auctions will go to the Mission, which will distribute funding, in association with Foundation North - Hapai Putea Oranga, to other trusted local community organisations also delivering on-the-ground support to help those in greatest need across the city in the aftermath of the flooding.

Five of bundles are up for grabs, each including a signed Ed block, a signed T-shirt, and a year's supply of Whittaker's Chocolate (52 x 250g blocks).

These listings close on Sunday night at 8pm and are already in hot demand, seeing a current top bid of over $900.

Meanwhile, a penis-shaped radish is getting the attention of many Trade Me users, with its current bid sitting at $150. All proceeds from this auction are going to the Auckland City Mission Flood Response.

Last but not least, Trade Me has teamed up with New Zealand Red Cross to open Trade Me's Kindness store to lend a helping hand to the response and support those impacted by flooding. Donations people can give range from $10 to $100, which could go towards helping equip evacuation centres, providing psychosocial and welfare support, and bringing in more Red Cross-trained people where needed.

This listing is for a $100 contribution to support New Zealand Red Cross' flood response in the Upper North Island.

Donations will go towards supporting their work and could be used for:

  • Emergency accommodation at evacuation centres

  • Transport

  • Hygiene kits

  • Wellbeing support

  • Blankets and bedding supplies.
