Police investigating after 'unexplained' death in Hawke's Bay town

Police are investigating following the discovery of a body in Waipawa, a town in central Hawke's Bay on Monday.

Police were called to a property on Ruataniwha Street, around 11.30am.

A scene examination will be completed tomorrow morning, they said in a statement.

At this stage the death is being treated as unexplained.

No further information was released.
