Former Director-General of Health Sir Ashley Bloomfield says he's "#ready4winter" after a "great 'double jab' experience this morning".
On Monday, Sir Ashley received his "free bi-valent COVID-19 booster" and the flu vaccine at Unichem Petone Pharmacy.
Dr Bloomfield encouraged those 30 or older to book their free bi-valent COVID booster online.
"You can also book your flu vax online and have it at the same time as some places," Dr Bloomfield tweeted.
"#ready4winter."
Those aged 30 and up who have not had a booster or positive COVID-19 test in the past six months will be eligible for the new Pfizer shot, which will replace the old vaccine.
They can be booked through the bookmyvaccine website, on 0800 28 29 26, or through their primary care provider.
