Person attacked, robbed, left unconscious outside Auckland bar after pokie win

Auckland police have launched an investigation after a person was attacked, robbed and left unconscious after winning money at the pokies. 

A staff member at Bar Eden on Auckland's Dominion Rd confirmed to Newshub a customer was attacked in the bar's car park in the early hours of Monday morning after winning money on the pokies. 

In a statement to Newshub, a police spokesperson said police were called to the bar at about 2am on Monday morning to find a person unconscious with moderate injuries. 

The spokesperson said the victim was transported to hospital and remains in a stable condition. 

Police say they understand two males attacked the victim and then took a number of items from them, before leaving the area. 

They are asking anyone with information to come forward and contact police on 105 quoting file number 230610/5926.
