Police appeal for help after Ford Mustangs stolen, possible shooting

On Sunday a man walked into Lower Hutt hospital in a serious condition with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound.

Police are appealing for any information relating to the man's injuries, they say the possible shooting took place in the Wainuiomata area, which they believe is an "isolated incident".

Those with information are asked to contact police on 105 and reference event number P055504433.

Further north in Palmerston North, police are on the hunt for an unknown number of offenders after two Ford Mustangs were stolen in the early hours of Sunday morning.

"Offenders have allegedly entered the premises and taken a number of keys before driving off with two vehicles."

Police are yet to find the two Ford Mustangs or the alleged offenders.

"It is possible that the registration plates have been removed or altered."

Police are asking anyone who has seen the vehicles to contact them on 105 and reference file number 230730/4273.
