Police searching for pair who robbed, threatened staff at Taupō business

Police are searching for two people who allegedly robbed and threatened people inside a Taupō business on Wednesday morning. 

The pair entered a commercial premises on Tamamutu Street at around 9:35am and made demands.

Senior Sergeant Andy Livingstone said the pair fled the scene a short time later and no one was injured during the robbery. 

Snr Srg Livingstone said police are appealing to the public for information on the robbery. 

"As part of our enquiries, we are asking for anyone with information to come forward," Snr Srg Livingstone said. 

"Anyone who was in the area at the time, or anyone with information that can assist Police, is asked to contact 105 referencing event number P055454365. Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
