Woman found with serious assault injuries on Rotorua road

A woman has been found with serious and unexplained assault injuries on a Rotorua road early on Saturday morning.

Police say she was discovered on Wrigley Road around 2am, however, it's believed she was injured at a different place.

She was transported to Waikato Hospital where she remains in a stable condition. Police are investigating what has happened.
