A missing woman has been found dead after a search around Wairere Falls, near Matamata.
Jude Coxhead, 62, was last seen by family on Saturday when she left a Tauranga address, police said.
There were "concerns" for Coxhead's welfare and the public's help was needed to find her, police said on Monday night.
Police, Land Search and Rescue volunteers, DoC, FENZ and local iwi conducted a wide search of Wairere Falls on Tuesday.
Police also carried out extensive enquiries during the three days she was missing, including speaking with a couple seen in the Wairere Falls carpark.
In an update on Tuesday, police said Coxhead has been found dead.
"There are no suspicious circumstances in relation to the death, which will be referred to the Coroner," a police spokesperson said.
"Police would like to thank the members of the public who provided information which assisted in locating the woman.
"Police extend our condolences to the family."
