Two people have been injured after a serious late-night crash in the central North Island.
Emergency services responded to the crash involving a vehicle on Park Avenue in Ohakune at around 12:30am on Sunday morning.
One person has been helicoptered to hospital in a critical condition and another has minor injuries, according to police.
Police said the road is closed while the scene is examined.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
