Police are at the scene of a reported homicide in Upper Hutt.
Police responded to an address on Akatarawa Road around 2:20pm where an person who was found injured soon died of their injuries.
Police said earlier they have classed the incident as a homicide and a spokesperson said more details will be available short.
One person located at the address is assisting police with enquiries as they work to determine the circumstances of the death.
A scene guard is being put in place and the public can expect to see an increased police presence in the area while enquiries continue.
