Multiple crashes have happened across New Zealand today, leaving several people with injuries.

It's been a sad end to November, with three serious crashes and one multi-vehicle crash all occurring on Thursday.

A serious single-vehicle crash occurred in Hurunui at 8:30am on Thursday, causing Mouse Point Road to close in Leslie Hills.

Hours later, a multi-vehicle crash involving two trucks took place on Auckland's Southern Motorway (SH1) near the Princess Street-Ōtāhuhu off ramp.

Luckily no one was injured.

Not long following the crash, three vehicles collided on State Highway 1 (SH1) before 12:30pm near Leithfield's Mill Road in Hurunui.

One person is in a serious condition, and three others were moderately injured.

Just after 5pm, emergency services responded to a serious crash in Hūkerenui's SH1, north of Whangārei.

The crash involved one vehicle and left two people with critical injuries.

The Serious Crash Unit are investigating three of the crashes.

It comes as this year's road toll is currently sitting at 300.

At this time last year, 339 people were killed on our roads.
