Burglars on the run after ram-raiding Auckland dairy

A group of burglars are on the run after ram-raiding a dairy in West Auckland overnight.

A police investigation is now underway after Lincoln Heights Superette in Massey was targeted by the thieves.

Police said they were called to the burglary on Chorley Avenue just after midnight, where it is "understood a vehicle has been used to gain entry".

A group then entered the shop and took some items before leaving, a spokesperson said.

Police said the vehicle believed to be used during the ram-raid was abandoned at the scene and has since been towed for forensic enquiries.

An investigation is now underway to determine what has occurred and who is involved, however, at this stage, no arrests have been made.
