A second person has been charged over the death of a man who died after being assaulted in the Nelson suburb of Stoke last month.
Emergency services were called to Orchard St at about 7pm on November 10 when James Whitikau Brown, 48, was found critically injured and later died in the hospital.
A homicide investigation was subsequently launched, with a 33-year-old man later charged with murder.
Now, a 30-year-old woman has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder, Det Insp Lex Bruning said on Friday.
They were both due on Friday to appear in the Nelson District Court.
