Waitematā Police have charged two men in relation to the death of a man in Helensville last month.

Aucklander, 36-year-old Samuel Curle was found with serious injuries on Kaipara Coast Highway after midnight on 6 November, and later died on 26 November.

A series of search warrants in Waitematā and Northland districts on Tuesday morning helped locate two people believed to be involved, according to police.

“Two men, who we believe are linked to the Head Hunters gang, were taken into custody and both have been charged with murder," Acting Detective Inspector Tim Williams said.

A 31-year-old man is due to appear in the Whangārei District Court and a 42-year-old man is due to appear in the Waitākere District Court today.

“Both will have their bail opposed," Williams said.

Police say they are providing support to Curle's family during what is a "difficult time".
