Two people have been rushed to hospital after an early morning incident involving drugs or alcohol in Auckland.
A police spokesperson told Newshub officers were alerted to a person acting suspiciously on Rockfield Rd in the Auckland suburb of Penrose at 4:17am.
Officers found two males under the influence of drugs or alcohol who required medical attention from ambulance staff.
"One of the males was unresponsive," the spokesperson said.
Police confirmed both men were taken to hospital, with one being in a critical condition and the other in a serious condition.
Police confirmed to Newshub no charges are pending at this stage.
