At least one person has been injured after multiple vehicles crashed in the Bay of Plenty.
Emergency services were called to State Highway 2/Te Puke East Road at around 4.20pm Wednesday.
Police said the crash involved up to three vehicles and occurred between Wharere Road and Benner Road.
At least one person is believed to have received serious injuries, police said.
The crash has blocked the road and motorists in the area should expect delays.
