A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after an incident at a bus stop in the south Auckland suburb of Manurewa, police understand.
At around 6pm on Wednesday, the seriously injured man appeared at a supermarket in Manurewa, the location of which is understood to be New World at the Southmall shopping centre.
"Early information is that there has been an incident at a bus stop not far from the supermarket, but police are working to establish exactly what has occurred," a police spokesperson told Newshub.
"The victim has been taken to Middlemore Hospital with serious injuries.
"Police have arrested a man who is assisting us with our enquiries. There is no further information available at this stage."
