One person is dead and another two badly injured after three motorcycles crashed near Milford Sound on Sunday.
Police said the crash happened on State Highway 94, just south of the Homer Tunnel, at around 10:50am.
One of the riders died at the scene, while two others suffered moderate-to-serious injuries.
A spokesperson said the road remains closed while the serious crash unit investigates.
They thank people travelling in the area for their patience.
