A person has died in a crash that earlier closed part of the Thames Coast Rd south of Kereta.
Police said a car hit a power pole at about 3:25am on Tuesday and crashed into the water near Russek Road.
That section of State Highway 25 was subsequently closed for several hours.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is urged to contact the police on 105, quoting file number P057287229.
The death takes the Christmas/New Year road toll to 17.
