A submerged truck was on Monday found at Karitane Wharf, 40 kilometres north of Dunedin.
Emergency services were called after reports of a single-vehicle crash on OId Head St just after 1am.
Police said the vehicle rolled into the water and all those in the car got out safely.
Footage supplied to Newshub shows the vehicle completely submerged in water.
The truck has since been removed.
