Two people arrested after allegedly crashing stolen car into another vehicle in Te Atatū Peninsula, Auckland

Two people have been arrested after allegedly stealing a vehicle and crashing into another car in west Auckland on Thursday morning.   

A police spokesperson told Newshub at around 9:10am, officers were made aware of a stolen vehicle travelling on Beach Road in the suburb of Te Atatū Peninsula.   

Police watched the vehicle for a short period before it crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of Te Atatu Road and Gunner Driver.  

"Fortunately, no one was injured," the spokesperson said.   

Police confirmed two people were arrested without incident and enquiries are ongoing.  

A witness told Newshub they saw six police cars speeding along Te Atatū Road.   

Footage from the scene shows glass scattered over the road.
