A fire at a home in south Auckland on Monday evening has caused a flurry of activity from emergency services.
Crews from Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) were alerted to the incident in the Auckland suburb of Randwick Park just before 9:30pm.
Police as well as several units from St John Ambulance were also sent to the scene, with one patient taken to hospital.
A police spokesperson said a person had serious injuries but is in a stable condition. It's understood the injured person was a child.
Hato Hone St John told Newshub it responded with an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle and took a patient to Middlemore Hospital.
The police spokesperson also confirmed at this stage the blaze isn't being treated as suspicious.
Investigations are ongoing but the nature and extent of the injuries remain unclear.
