A person has died in a crash in the Far North on Wednesday evening.
Police said the single-vehicle collision happened on Wahamiti Ln in the town of Moerewa at 9:50pm.
"Sadly, one person received critical injuries and died at the scene," a police spokesperson said.
"Police extend our condolences to their friends and whānau at this time."
The serious crash unit attended and investigations are underway, police said.
