Police have confirmed they have recovered a body at Kaipara Harbour.
A police spokesperson said officers recovered a body from the harbour on Saturday afternoon.
While formal identification procedures are yet to be completed, police believe the body is of the swimmer reported missing from Piha on last Sunday.
"Police have made contact with the family of the missing person and are providing support," the spokesperson said.
The death will be referred to the Coroner.
