Thieves ransack Hamilton appliance store Forlongs after smashing their way through window

Police are searching for two offenders who smashed their way into a Hamilton furniture and appliance store in the early hours of Sunday morning before fleeing with stolen items.

Video sent to Newshub shows two men stealing a "number of items" from the Forlongs store on Rawhiti Street in the Hamilton suburb of Frankton.

The footage shows the entrance to the store damaged with shattered glass over the footpath.

The two men can be seen carrying items out of the store, including what looks like a dehumidifier, before fleeing in a white van.
