A large vegetation fire has broken out in Kawakawa Bay in east Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland on Saturday afternoon.
A spokesperson from Whakaratonga Iwi/Fire and Emergency told Newshub it was reported just after 1pm and it's still uncontained.
"At this stage there's no risk to surrounding properties," they said.
Eight fire crews in total are battling the blaze on Kawakawa Bay Coast Rd near Raukura Point.
Six fire trucks, two helicopters and three water tankers are on site dousing the 12-hectare fire.
