A student is injured after being assaulted at Westlake Boys' High School (WBHS).
Emergency services were called to the school at about 1:15pm.
"One person has received minor injuries," a police statement said.
"A second person believed to be involved was taken into custody at a nearby address without incident."
Both students involved were now "at home and safe", WBHS principal David Ferguson said in an email to parents.
"The safety of our boys and staff is always our number one priority, and we can assure you that all were safe. The authorities confirmed that our process was appropriate and no lockdown was necessary."
