A man is in custody after reports of a gun being fired in Henderson on Friday.
Police were called to the west Auckland suburb just before 10am. Simpson Road was briefly closed while officers appealed for the man to leave a property.
No one was injured and the man surrendered to police.
A spokesperson said charges are being considered.
The road has reopened and police are thanking nearby residents for their understanding about the disruption.
