Six youths have been arrested after a stolen vehicle was used to break into a commercial address in Auckland early on Saturday morning.
Detective Senior Sergeant Ash Matthews said just after midnight, police responded to reports of a burglary on Jervois Rd, Herne Bay.
The group of youths allegedly broke in and burgled the property before fleeing in a different vehicle.
One of the vehicles believed to be used was found shortly afterwards on the Southern Motorway.
After it failed to stop for police, it was spiked in Manurewa. Stolen goods have been recovered, police said.
One of the alleged offenders is due to appear in Youth Court on Saturday on several charges, while five others have been referred to Youth Aid.
