A wanted man described as "very dangerous" is on the run and a public appeal is being launched to locate him.
Bryce Studd-Proctor, 35, was believed to be in the Wellington District, police said in a statement.
The statement noted Studd-Proctor had a warrant out for his arrest but did not specify what for.
"He is considered very dangerous," the police said.
"Anyone with information is urged not to approach him and instead to call 111 immediately and quote file number 240301/6605."
