A highway in Waikato has been partially blocked after a truck crashed, spilling vegetables across the road.
Police were called to a crash involving a truck and trailer unit at 4.25am Thursday on State Highway 27 near Te Puninga.
The driver suffered moderate injuries in the crash.
A police spokesperson said the truck was carrying a large quantity of vegetables, which had spilled on to the road.
The road is partially blocked between Manhire Road and Horrell Road. It is expected to take several hours to fully clear the road.
Diversions are in place and motorists are asked to follow the directions of those on site.
