Brazen thieves have stolen several items from an Auckland jewellery store before taking off on Sunday evening.
Newshub staff at the scene said it appeared a vehicle had smashed through Newmarket Westfield in a ram-raid.
Police tape could be seen cordoning off the area as officers investigate.
A police spokesperson said police were at the scene of the robbery on Broadway in Newmarket.
Police were called to reports a person had entered a store and stolen several items before leaving in a vehicle with several other occupants about 7:30pm on Sunday, the spokesperson said.
"Enquiries are ongoing to locate those involved and establish what was taken."
Police are carrying out a scene examination.
