Motorists heading into Wellington from the Kāpiti Coast are being urged to take a detour as a crash has closed part of State Highway 1 Transmission Gully.
State Highway 1 Transmission Gully is currently closed for southbound traffic, with those using the route asked to detour via State Highway 59 on Monday evening.
It follows a crash north of the State Highway 58 interchange about 4pm.
The highway is currently closed to southbound traffic between Paekākāriki and Pāuatahanui.
