A pair of Kmart children's pyjamas is being recalled over fire safety concerns.

In a notice on Kmart's website, it warns the product - Little Boys Sleep Twosie in the design Dino - does not have the correct fire hazard labelling as indicated and therefore breaches the requirements of the mandatory safety standard for nightwear for children.

Product Safety also issued a notice on Monday warning there is a risk of serious burn injuries if the arm with the raised edge is exposed to a heat or flame source.

A Kmart spokesperson told Newshub the product was on sale between February 5 and February 26 2024.

"Customers who have purchased this product should stop using it and return it to their nearest Kmart for a full refund," they said.

The clothing is sold in sizes 2 to 8.

The recall for New Zealand comes about a month after Australia urgently recalled the same product, according to 7News
