A person has died in a single-vehicle crash in Waipa.
Emergency services were called to the crash on Ellicott Rd, Parawera, just after 7:30pm on Friday, according to police.
"However, initial enquiries suggest the crash may have occurred earlier in the day," police said.
Police are investigating the crash alongside the Serious Crash Unit.
A scene examination is taking place.
