Police are appealing for sightings of a silver Toyota Hilux that was allegedly used by a man described as "dangerous" to ram a patrol car in Tolaga Bay.
At 7am this morning, officers were conducting "routine enquiries" on Paroa Road when a man fled from an address in a stolen vehicle.
The driver rammed and damaged a police car before fleeing.
Police are asking anyone who sees the silver Toyota Hilux, registration MMK925, to call 111 immediately and quote the job number P058511668.
A spokesperson said the driver is thought to be "dangerous" and the public is being urged not to approach.
