A rescue is underway for a person down a cliff in Auckland's Ōrewa.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand said crews were called to the Red Beach area just before 5:30pm.
A spokesperson said three firetrucks and a "high-angle rescue team" were there.
Police said officers were initially called to the scene after a threatening behaviour report "which has developed into a rescue".
St John was also at the scene.
