Venus is the most recent Kiwi to win a Grand Slam title, combining with American Ryan Harrison to take out the 2017 French Open doubles crown, while also making the 2019 Wimbledon final with South African Raven Klaasen.

He has also lost two Grand Slam mixed doubles finals, both with Taiwanese Chan Hao-ching, at the 2017 & 2019 US Opens, while also losing the 2019 World Tour Finals with Klaasen.

Since 2015, he has won 15 ATP titles, most recently with new German partner Tim Putz at Hamburg this month.

Currently ranked 20th in the world for doubles, Venus has risen as high as No.8 in 2019 and will team with Kiwi Marcus Daniell at Tokyo. At Rio, the pair lost in the first round to Portugese Gastao Elias and Joao Sousa.
