Tokyo Olympics: Kiwi cyclist George Bennett hopes to make iconic Mt Fujiyama course his own

At about 1.83m and 58kg dripping wet, Kiwi cyclist George Bennett is built for mountains.

So he's sitting in Tokyo isolation, licking his lips at the prospect of racing up legendary Mt Fujiyama in quest of Olympic gold on Saturday.

Opting to skip this year's Tour de France classic, Bennett has set his sights on these Games as possibly his best chance of ever winning a medal on a course that should suit him down to the ground.

He joins The Project to explain his Olympic aspirations.
