Tokyo Olympics in Pictures, August 5: Kiwis in action across weightlifting, track cycling, canoe, golf, showjumping and sailing

Heartbreak for New Zealand's men's team pursuit team who looked to have a bronze medal sealed on the track before a moment of disaster.

It was a similar story of disappointment on the water for our men's 470 crew who came up just short of a medal.

Lydia Ko got off to a solid start in the golf tournament, while it was business as usual for Lisa Carrington and the Kiwi canoe contingent, all qualifying for semi-finals.
