The Green Party has reshuffled their portfolios for MPs in a move which they believe will align themselves better with Government ministerial positions.

There are many significant changes, including Julie Anne Genter taking the finance portfolio, making her the third woman MP to hold it after Ruth Richardson and Rahui Katene.

Eugenie Sage will hold an overarching Primary Industries role which brings together a number of previously separate portfolios.

New co-leader James Shaw is now the spokesperson for climate change as well as economic development.

Co-leader Metiria Turei says the changes mean the party can "continue to hold Ministers to account for their decisions".
