Andrew Little playing 'elaborate word game' on TPPA – Gower

Andrew Little (Simon Wong/3 News)

Labour Leader Andrew Little says his party will not oppose the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA), but plans to ignore parts of it.

It comes after Mr Little and other Opposition MPs were briefed by the Trade Minister Tim Groser on the free trade deal.

3 News political editor Patrick Gower told the Paul Henry programme he doesn't understand Labour's position on the TPPA.

"[Mr Little] seems to be playing some elaborate word game where he won't say that they actually support it. He just will not say that, but it seems to me that they actually do," he says.
